Maintain Diesel Engine System 2




Venue: Institut Latihan Perindustrian (ILP) Jitra

Introduction

With the increase in vehicles on the road and the increasingly alarming rates of pollution. Among the causes is damage to the fuel and oil system at vehicle and the fuel system can’t function properly. Therefore, each vehicle fuel systems should be good maintained  and each user must understand the operating system, to ensure comfort and control of environmental pollution. To ensure that every vehicle that can work with the optimum and efficient and the damage of parts can be avoided, it shall be maintained by user, overhauling and according to manufacturer specifications. This course is to increase knowledge and skills specifically related to the engine system.


Target Group
This course is suitable for mechanics, fitter rates, technicians, workers with no skills and those who’s want to improve skills.

Prerequisites
This course is a level 2 of SKM certificate for engine service in a vehicle identification system, the participants should have an interest and basic knowledge of engine systems on the diesel engine vehicles.

Objectives
Upon completion of the course, the participants should be able to:

a) Understand the diesel fuel system.
b) Trouble shoot fuel system
c) Diagnose turbo charger system
d) Overhaul turbo charger assembly
e) Overhaul diesel engine
f) Trouble shoot engine failures
g) Smoke test.

1.  Introduction of fuel line system
a)  Determine lay out of fuel system
b)  Operation and function.
c)   Troubleshoot fuel system

2.  Perform dismantle and assemble
a)    Turbo charge
b)    Engine components

3.  Perform overhaul
a)    Turbo charger
b)    Engine

4.  Perform diagnose and troubleshoot
a)    Fuel
b)    Turbo charger
c)    Engine

Training Method
Training will be delivered through a combination between theoretical talk, demonstration and practical lessons.

Advance Diploma in Automotive, Automation IHK of Germany, 25 years experience in automotive and heavy machines.

2.    Mr. Shahril bin Ilias
DPV/DKM Automotive Technology, 10 years experience.

3.    Mr. Mohd Zairuni bin Mahzan
DPV/DKM Automotive Technology, 8 years experience.

iii. To have a clearer understanding of the skills required by the industry
iv. Basic assessment of re- training needs of instructors/trainers to meet current industry needs
v. Proper career advice may be given effectively to trainees.

All the training contents will be developed base on NOSS requirement to ensure the skill training programs meets the industry needs and eliminating miss match/gap between training provider and industry /employers needs.
