VEHICLE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM REPAIR



Venue: Institut Latihan Perindustrian (ILP) Jitra


Introduction
Basic Electrical System, Power Window System, Central Locking System and Alarm System is a ten day course that give you a comprehensive training on your car and simulator. Participants will learn about basic electrical system, operation of power window system, central locking system and alarm system.


Target Group
This course is suitable for individuals who would like to learn more about automotive engine.


Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for attending this course.


Objectives
After completing this course, the participants should be able to:

Content
1.    Examine condition of battery
2.    Examine condition of starting system
3.    Examine condition of ignition system

Training will be delivered through between theoretical talk, demonstration and practical lessons.

Charging vehicle battery
Check charging circuit
Check and test starter motor
Check relay

Adjust contact breaker point clearance
Remove and install distributor

Day 3

10:30 a.m.       Check continuity of the bulb and fuse
(demonstration and practice)
Adjust alignment of head lamp
Identify location of wiper motor and wind screen washer motor.
Remove wiper motor from vehicle.

Course Instructor
This instructor for this course are Mr. Mohd Hafiz Bin Azam and Mr. Low Boon Poh  a senior instructor for Automotive Technology Program at ILP Jitra. They have more than 10 years of teaching experience in the field of automotive.

Fees
The fee for this course is RM40,000.00 per package (15 participants + meals). Companies sending their employees to this course may apply for reimbursement from HRDF under the SBL scheme

TRAINING PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT
All training programs including its curriculum structure developed follow National Occupational Skills Standards (NOSS). NOSS is a document that outlines the dexterity required of an employee working in Malaysia at a certain level of employment to achieve specific skills. This Standard was prepared by industry experts and skilled workers in related fields. Its help Skills Training Institute /Trainer/Instructor:
i. To develop an appropriate training curriculum which meets industry needs
ii. To design a full-time training program or customized program that meets industry needs
iii. To have a clearer understanding of the skills required by the industry
iv. Basic assessment of re- training needs of instructors/trainers to meet current industry needs
v. Proper career advice may be given effectively to trainees.

All the training contents will be developed base on NOSS requirement to ensure the skill training programs meets the industry needs and eliminating miss match/gap between training provider and industry /employers needs. It’s also giving us a clear and systematic approach on how to provide skill training to help company and employee to enhance their career.

We train our Trainer/Instructor on related skills areas to improve their knowledge, skills and attitude to become the best trainer in skill training every year including sponsored their participation in Malaysia Skill Competition.
